Artist's Background

Joanne commenced her music studies initially on the piano at the age of five, before subsequently picking up the cello at the age of seven. is currently studying Music Performance and major in cello under the teaching of Julian Smiles.  She attended Kambala School on a full music scholarship.  She spent her majority of her youth studying under Georg Pedersen.  

Joanne has competed in numerous competitions/ eisteddfods such as the NSW Secondary School's Concerto Competition, the Sydney Eisteddfod, St. George Eisteddfod, City of Ryde Eisteddfod and etc. 

She has a rich experience in participating in the orchestra such as Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO), the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO) National Music Camp & Syney Youth Orchestra (SYO).  All of these experience build up her musical sense and passion in music.  This is what she would like to pass on to her students.  

Joanne would teach cello in English or Korean.
